About Us!
The Blossoming Bookshop, an online USED bookstore, is owned by two autistic sisters, Emma and Tessa, also known as the TwoDutchSisters 🙂. With a strong Dutch heritage, these Canadian girls, in their early twenties, are working hard to create a more socially inclusive world, one book at a time!
Your purchase helps provide a much-needed work opportunity for youth and young adults with exceptionalities. Our goal is to open a brick and mortar bookstore providing a nook for reading while sipping a tea or coffee, munching on our maple cookies, and becoming part of an engaging community.
The Blossoming Bookshop is an online USED book store located in Elmira, Ontario a heart-warming community of about 11 000 people, known primarily for its Mennonite population. Be sure to visit us at our booth at the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival, held this year on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 to celebrate its 60th anniversary alongside 65, 000 or so other visitors! We welcome donations of gently used books, fiction, and non-fiction, adult, young adult, teens and children in great smoke-free condition. Thank you for your continued support!
Please note that while we have a smoke free book policy our establishment is PET FRIENDLY with our furry family members, Cocoa Bean, an adorable chocolate labrador retriever, and sweet Lila, our black and white short haired kitten.
