The Blossoming Bookshop is proudly owned by two autistic sisters, Emma and Tessa. Rooted in their strong Dutch heritage, these Canadian sisters are working hard to create a more socially inclusive world — one book at a time!
Your Blossoming Book Box subscription helps provide meaningful work opportunities for youth and young adults with exceptionalities.
Our dream is to open a cozy brick-and-mortar bookstore — a welcoming nook where readers can relax with a good book, sip tea or coffee, enjoy our signature maple cookies, and connect with an engaging community.

Frequently Asked Questions:
- What will I receive in my Book Box? Your curated box will contain a paperback novel, a sweet indulgence, a comforting beverage and a few charming surprises created by local Canadian companies.
- What is the Blossoming Bookshop? The Blossoming Bookshop is an online bookstore owned by two autistic sisters, Emma and Tessa, and their mother, Monique who reside in Elmira, ON. They are working really hard in order to operate their own brick-and-mortar shop.
- How will I know if my Blossoming Book Box has shipped? Emma or Tessa will email you the day the Blossoming Book Box ships. Blossoming Book Boxes should ship around the 25th of each month. For example, the February Book Box will ship on January 25th, the April Book Box will ship on March 25th.
- If I live out of town, can my Blossoming Book Box be shipped? Yes, local delivery in Elmira is free, delivery within KW is $5 and elsewhere in Canada has a flat fee shipping fee of $12.50. Each Blossoming Book Box is insured.
- What months will I receive a Blossoming Book Box this year? Your bi-montlhy subscription includes a Blossoming Book Box for February, April June, August, October and December. Book Boxes are scheduled to ship out around the 25th of the month prior for example the February Book Box will ship January 25th, the April Book Box will ship March 25th etc.
