Although Grace initially felt destined to die in her homeland, uneducated, unloved and without opportunity, something was stirring. With a firm conviction and gritty determination, Grace listened to her spirit that moved her into making some drastic changes. Grace had little concept of love as she was growing up and her self-worth was almost non-existent, but she made a decision that would change the course of her life. Not everything fell into place, in fact Grace faced some terrible trials once she decided to leave her homeland and pursue a career in nursing, but she overcame and stood tall in the face of adversity. Grace is the first one to say she did not do this alone. People were placed in her path and that desire to become that which she was created to be, emerged. Temptation overcame her at times and she fell back into a mindset of unworthiness and insignificance.
