IN quiet coves fishing boats lie at anchor. Huge Atlantic combers crash exhaustively at the base of towering headlands. Across the province, bathers take advantage of sun-drenched beaches, and the hills and valleys shelter farms and industry. These are just some of the images of Nova Scotia, a land of many contrasts, but a land dominated, overall, by the sea.
