The Giant Book of Ghost Stories

Many great writers have been fascinated by the supernatural, among them Lord Byron, Sir Walter Scott and Charles Dickens. Sometimes light-hearted, sometimes macabre, these writer's works are always chilling.

Equally popular in America, ghost stories have been penned by American writers such has Henry James and Harriet Beecher Stowe, both os whose work is featured in this collection. At least half of the writers of ghost stories have been women and they are well represented here, by E. Nesbit for example.

This is a collection which incorporates both well-known classics by the likes of Dickens, Bram Stoker and Henry James as well as less familiar tales.
